Auto-generate FedEx commercial invoices from WooCommerce orders.

Cross-border shipping in WooCommerce normally means: print commercial invoice → fill HS codes → manually create USMCA cert → tape three copies to the box → pray customs holds nothing back. The Teamz Lab plugin generates the invoice from your order line items, suggests HS codes, detects free-trade agreements, and uploads everything via FedEx Trade Documents Upload. 20 minutes per order becomes 10 seconds. Updated .

What ships in the international shipping module

  • Commercial invoice generator

Pulls product description, country of origin, declared value, and quantities from your WooCommerce line items. Outputs a FedEx-compliant PDF you can print or upload via ETD. No more spreadsheet-to-Word manual rebuild per order.

  • HS Code Suggester

Maps 30+ common e-commerce categories to their most common HS codes. Editable per product in the standard WooCommerce product editor. Keyword-based — no AI / API credits required.

  • USMCA + EUR.1 + Form A auto-detection

The plugin checks the origin / destination pair against active free-trade agreements and auto-populates the matching certificate of origin. You sign off before label print — nothing is filed without your approval.

  • FedEx Trade Documents Upload (paperless ETD)

Once the invoice + certs are approved, they upload via the Trade Documents API directly to your shipment. Customs clearance starts before the package physically arrives at the border.

  • Global Trade pre-ship advisory

Every international shipment is checked against denied-party / sanction lists before the label prints. Permit-required products get blocked with a clear error message.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a FedEx commercial invoice and ETD?
A commercial invoice is the customs document listing what is in the shipment, value, country of origin, and HS classification. ETD (Electronic Trade Documents) is FedEx's system for uploading that document plus any other required paperwork (USMCA certificate, pro forma, shipper's letter of instruction) electronically — so customs clearance happens before the package arrives, instead of via paper attached to the box.
Does the plugin auto-fill HS codes?
Yes. The HS Code Suggester maps common e-commerce categories (apparel, accessories, electronics, supplements, cosmetics, kitchenware, and 30+ others) to their most common HS code. You can override per-product in the WooCommerce product editor. Suggested codes are keyword-based — no AI credits required.
What about USMCA / EUR.1 / Form A?
When the origin / destination pair triggers a free-trade agreement, the plugin auto-detects it and pre-populates the relevant certificate (USMCA for US-Mexico-Canada, EUR.1 for EU, Form A for GSP). You review + approve before the label prints — no certificate is filed without your sign-off.
What if a product needs an export permit?
The Global Trade pre-ship advisory checks every shipment against denied-party / sanction lists and surfaces any required permits before the label prints. If a permit is missing, the label print is blocked with a clear error so you do not ship something illegally.
How long does setup take?
Standard install + Settings → Account configuration is about 15 minutes. Adding international support (commercial invoice, HS codes, ETD subscription) adds another 15-30 minutes depending on how many product categories need HS-code review. Existing PluginHive / Woo official users have the credentials handy already.
