Is Teamz Lab a Scam? No — Here's What's Actually Happening

We are not a scam. But if someone recently asked you whether we are, they have good reason — our company name is currently being used by at least two active fraud operations.

This is real. We have been contacted by two people in the past six months who were targeted using our name. One was told they could earn “$100–$400 daily” uploading product data on a fake “Teamz Lab LTD platform” in Sydney. Another was approached by someone running an online trading operation who claimed to represent us from the Netherlands.

Both people did the right thing: they went and checked. This page exists because checking should be easy.

The two cases we know about

Case 1: Sydney, product-data upload scheme (2026)

Someone was recruited to upload product data to a fake platform, told they would earn $100–$400 per day for 1–2 hours of work on their phone. The recruiter provided a fake login dashboard showing fake earnings, and a fake “trainer” who walked them through uploading dummy data.

The red flag: the platform did not exist. The person was given login credentials by a recruiter they had never met. Teamz Lab LTD does not run a platform. We do not hire through fictitious data-entry jobs. We build software for paying clients — not for side-hustle earnings programs.

The scammer was using our real company phone number: +44 7490 356046. This is not a lookalike domain or a close number. It is our actual published contact line.

Case 2: Netherlands, trading operation (2026)

Someone was approached about a trading opportunity and told the operation was backed by “Teamz Lab LTD.” When they looked us up to verify, they found our website (real) and our legal registration (real), so the impersonation worked for a moment.

The red flag: we do not run a trading business. We have never run a trading business. We are a software development agency registered in the UK (Companies House 16106867, incorporated 28 November 2024). A trading platform using our name is not us.

Why use our real details?

Scammers use real company details for one reason: real details pass a quick check. A person Googles “Teamz Lab”, finds our website, finds our registration, assumes the person contacting them is real, and by the time they realise something is wrong, they have already sent money or shared personal information.

Our recent incorporation (28 November 2024) makes this work even better. A brand-new company in software development is plausible. The fact that we have real apps in the app stores, real case studies, and real clients does not protect us — a scammer just leaves those out of the story they tell.

How to know it is really us

If someone is contacting you claiming to be from Teamz Lab, use the same checks from our guide on verifying software companies:

1. Find something we actually made. Our apps are public on Google Play and the App Store. Install one. Real companies leave years of review history and update patterns you cannot fake in a week.

2. Check the legal registration. Teamz Lab LTD, UK, Companies House 16106867. Incorporated 28 November 2024. If someone says they are from us and we supposedly have ten years of experience, something is wrong.

3. Contact us independently. Do not use any contact detail the person gave you. Come to this site — apps.teamzlab.com — and use the contact form you find here. If the person is real, we will confirm it. If they are not, we will tell you.

4. Watch for the pressure patterns. Legitimate companies do not:

  • Give you earnings numbers that are specific, high, and guaranteed
  • Ask for payment to unlock work or training
  • Provide a login dashboard they created — real platforms you find yourself

What we are actually doing

  • Software development: apps for iOS and Android, websites, backend systems
  • Client work: through Upwork escrow (the platform holds funds until delivery is approved)
  • App development: published tools and utilities in the app stores

What we are not doing:

  • Running a “platform” with logins or data-upload dashboards
  • Hiring for work-from-home data entry
  • Operating a trading business
  • Asking anyone for fees, training payments, or activation charges

If you were contacted by someone claiming to be us

  • Stop all communication immediately. Do not send money, do not share passwords or personal information.
  • Check this page — if you recognise details from their pitch, you were contacted by a scammer.
  • Report it — your national fraud body (Action Fraud in the UK, FTC in the US, Scamwatch in Australia, your local cyber crime unit).
  • Tell us. Contact us through this site and tell us what happened. We cannot file takedowns for scams we do not know about, and the more we know, the better we can protect our name.

Do not blame yourself. The people who contacted us were careful and intelligent. Checking late is still checking.
