1. Who we are

Hazira Khata (হাজিরা খাতা) is an attendance and class-management app published by Hazira Khata (“we”, “our”). This policy explains what data the app handles and how we protect it.

2. Information in the app

Teachers using Hazira Khata enter class data such as student names, roll numbers, guardian phone numbers, attendance, fees, results and notes. This data is entered by the teacher to run their own class. We process it only to provide the app’s features (attendance, reports, fee tracking, guardian messaging, results, admit/ID cards).

3. Account & device data

To sign in we use Google Sign-In and/or phone-number (OTP) authentication via Firebase Authentication. We also process basic device and diagnostic data (crash reports and anonymous usage analytics) to keep the app stable. Our analytics are designed to be privacy-safe: we do not log student names, roll numbers or contact details for analytics or ad targeting.

4. Where data is stored

Class data is stored on your device for offline use and synced to Google Firebase (Firestore, Realtime Database, and Storage). Access is restricted to the account that owns the data. We use industry-standard security for data in transit and at rest.

5. SMS to guardians

When a teacher chooses to notify guardians, the app sends SMS using the teacher’s own device/SMS allowance to the guardian numbers the teacher entered. We do not sell or share these numbers.

6. Third-party services

We use Google Firebase (auth, database, storage, messaging, crash reporting, analytics) and Google AdMob for ads. AdMob may use your Android Advertising ID (AAID) to show ads. See Google’s advertising policies. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Children’s data

Student information is entered and controlled by the teacher/institution for legitimate educational record-keeping. We do not use student data for behavioural advertising or profiling.
