## Short description
Khamar is farm management software for Bangladesh. Keep a record for every animal, track feed, treatment, milk and egg output, see cost and profit per animal, price Qurbani animals by weight in Mon, and share profit with investors under Mudaraba or Musharaka rules. Bangla-first, with English, and runs in your phone or computer browser.
## Long description
Khamar is a farm management system for livestock farms in Bangladesh. It replaces the paper khata and the scattered WhatsApp messages with one set of records: every animal or batch with its tag, source, weight log and photos, feed stock and how it was fed out, treatments and vaccine schedules, milk and egg output, workers and their salaries, loans and payables, and every sale with its buyer. From those records it works out the cost of each animal (purchase, feed, treatment and a share of overheads) and the profit when it is sold, and it can suggest a fair price and a minimum price. Its distinctive module is for investors: an owner can record an investor's capital under a Mudaraba or Musharaka contract, and the investor gets a read-only view of their live profit share and a PDF statement, with principal never counted as profit. Qurbani sellers get a calculator that prices an animal by weight in Mon plus a beauty premium. Fisheries (ponds, water quality, biomass) are covered too, and a para-vet or dealer role can look after several farms. The interface is Bangla-first with an English toggle, has big tap targets and four colour themes, and is laid out for a phone.

## Feature blocks
### A record for every animal and batch

Individual animals and batches (a poultry flock, for example) each get a tag, source, weight log, photos and status. Categories are yours to define, and pregnancy, lactation, heat and death records sit on the animal.

### Cost and profit per animal

Purchase price, feed, treatment and an allocated share of overheads add up to the cost of each animal, so the profit on a sale is a calculation rather than a guess. A farm profit and loss report exports to PDF and Excel.

### Mudaraba and Musharaka investor module

Record an investor's capital against specific animals or the whole farm and choose the loss rule. The investor sees a read-only view of their live profit share and can download a PDF statement. Principal is never counted as profit.

### Qurbani fair-price calculator

Prices an animal by live weight in Mon (40 kg) at the current rate, adds a beauty premium, and suggests a minimum sale price from the animal's real cost plus the margin you choose. Booking records hold a buyer and an advance amount.

### Feed, health, milk and eggs

Track feed stock and allocate it per animal, per batch or by weight. Log treatments and vaccine schedules, daily milk with a quick litres-and-taka entry, and egg collection with the price per piece worked out for you.

### Built for the people on the farm

Bangla-first with an English toggle, big tap targets, and four colour themes including a high-contrast one for sunlight. A farm manager sees a short screen of picture buttons for the day's work, and owners keep the full books.
## How it works
### Step 1: 1. Open an account and set up your farm

Sign up with your mobile number and a one-time code, then add your animal categories and the animals or batches you keep.

### Step 2: 2. Record the daily work

Log feed, treatments, weights, milk and eggs as they happen. The manager role gets a simple screen of picture buttons for this.

### Step 3: 3. See cost, profit and investor share

Check the cost and profit per animal, price animals for sale, and let investors follow their share and download a statement.
## FAQ
### Q: What does farm management software do for a livestock farm?

It replaces the paper khata with one set of records for animals, feed, health, output, sales and money, so cost and profit come from the records instead of memory. Khamar is farm management software for livestock farms in Bangladesh: it keeps animal records, feed, treatment, milk and egg logs, workers, loans and sales, works out cost and profit per animal, and has a module for sharing profit with investors under Mudaraba or Musharaka rules.

### Q: Which animals and farm types does it cover?

Cattle and goats, poultry and ducks, and fish ponds all have a place. You define your own animal categories, individual animals or whole batches can be tracked, and there are dedicated records for milk, eggs and pregnancy and lactation. A separate fisheries module tracks ponds, water quality and biomass.

### Q: What should a dairy farm record every day?

At minimum, the milk from each cow (or the farm total), what was sold and for how much, feed given, and any treatment. Khamar takes milk per cow or as a quick farm total in litres and taka, with optional fat % and SNF, keeps a running total for each lactation, works out the expected calving date from the insemination date, shows the next expected heat on the cow's record, and, when you enter a withdrawal period in days for a medicine, shows until when that cow's milk and meat should not be sold. A sale inside a meat withdrawal is blocked unless you override it, and the override is recorded in the audit log.

### Q: Can I use it for a goat farm before Qurbani?

Yes. Goat is one of the default categories on a new farm, and each goat has a tag, weight log, photos and family line. For that Goat category the pregnancy record uses a goat's 150-day gestation; other species are set per species. For selling, the Qurbani calculator prices any of your animals by live weight in Mon at the rate you enter, adds a beauty premium, and suggests a minimum price from the animal's real cost, and booking records hold the buyer and the advance.

### Q: Does Khamar work offline?

Not fully. Khamar needs an internet connection to save records. It can be added to a phone home screen, and the page shell is cached to load faster on a weak connection, but entries are not queued and saved later when you are offline. If your farm has patchy signal, plan to enter records when you are connected.

### Q: Is the Mudaraba module Sharia-compliant?

It is built around Mudaraba and Musharaka rules: investor capital is never treated as profit, under Mudaraba the capital provider bears financial loss, and payouts cannot exceed the profit accrued. It has not been independently certified by a Sharia board, so have your own advisor review the contract terms you use.

### Q: Is Khamar free, and can I try it before I pay?

The front page offers a free account: sign up on khamar.teamzlab.com with your mobile number and a one-time code, add a few animals and look at the cost and profit views before you enter your full records. Plans with different animal and investor limits exist for larger farms. This page does not quote plan prices, so check them inside the product.

### Q: Is it in Bangla, and can I use it on my phone?

Yes. The interface is Bangla-first, with an English toggle, and it is laid out for a phone screen with large tap targets. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install, and you can add it to your home screen if you want an app-style icon.
## Privacy (from content source)
### Data safety

Khamar stores farm records: animals, feed, treatments, milk and egg output, workers and salaries, loans, sales and buyers, and investor contracts. Each farm is a separate tenant and data queries are scoped to the signed-in farm. Access is role-based (owner, manager, investor, para-vet, dealer, admin), passwords are hashed, and changes are recorded in an audit log. Sign-up uses a mobile number and a one-time code.
### Permissions

Khamar is a web application. It asks for a photo only when you choose to upload an animal photo, and for the microphone only if you use voice input on the sales form. It needs no other device permissions.

## Farm management software for Bangladesh livestock farms

Farm management software replaces the paper khata with one set of digital records for animals, feed, health, sales and money. Khamar (খামার) does this for livestock farms in Bangladesh: Bangla-first, laid out for a phone, and able to work out cost and profit per animal and to share that profit with investors under Mudaraba or Musharaka rules.

## Who it is for

Khamar is for owners of cattle, goat, poultry, dairy and fish farms who currently keep their books in a notebook, a spreadsheet or a stream of messages, and for the managers who do the daily work. It is also for farm owners who raise money from investors, because the investor side is the part few farm tools handle. There are six roles: farm owner, farm manager, investor, para-vet, dealer and platform admin, each with its own landing screen.

## Every animal, every batch

Each animal has a record: a tag number, where it came from (bought or born on the farm), a weight log, photos, a status such as active, sold, dead or sacrificed, and a place in a family tree. A new farm starts with Cow, Goat and Chicken categories, and you can add your own, such as ducks, so the list is not fixed. Poultry can be tracked as a batch (a flock) instead of one by one. Dairy and breeding farms get records for pregnancy, lactation and heat, and every death is logged with a cause so you can see mortality over time.

## Feed, health, milk and eggs

Feed items have stock levels and suppliers. Feed can be allocated per animal, per batch, or in proportion to weight, and the cost of what was fed lands on the right animals. Treatments cover vaccines, medicines and vet visits, and vaccine schedules are stored per category. Milk can be entered the quick way, total litres and total taka for the day with today's date filled in, or per cow. Egg collection works out the price per piece for you. Medicines, vets and workers (with salary payments) each have their own lists.

## Dairy and goat farm management

For a dairy farm the daily numbers are milk, feed and health. Milk goes in per cow or as a farm total for the day, and you can add the fat % and SNF if your buyer pays by quality. Each cow has a lactation record with a running total, a pregnancy record that works out the expected calving date from the insemination date, and the next expected heat on her page. When you enter a withdrawal period (in days) for a medicine, the animal shows the date until which its milk or meat should not be sold, and a sale during a meat withdrawal is blocked unless you override it, which is recorded in the audit log. Profit per cow counts milk income as well as the sale.

A goat farm uses the same records. Goat is one of the default categories on a new farm, and for it the pregnancy record uses a 150-day gestation instead of a cow's 280, so the expected kidding date comes out right. Before Eid, the weight log and the Qurbani calculator below do most of the selling work.

## Cost, profit and a fair price

Cost per animal adds the purchase price, feed, treatment and an allocated share of overheads. When an animal is sold, the profit is the sale minus that cost. Sales record the buyer and track what is paid and what is still owed, and loans and payables have their own pages. The reports page exports a farm profit and loss as a PDF and an Excel file.

For Qurbani season there is a fair-price calculator. It converts live weight to Mon (40 kg), multiplies by the current rate, adds a beauty premium, and can suggest a minimum sale price from the animal's real cost plus the margin you want. You can pick one of your animals from a list and the weight fills in.

## Mudaraba and Musharaka investors

Most farm software has no answer for the investor who puts money into an animal and expects a share of the result. Khamar does. The owner records the investor's principal, either against specific animals or against the whole farm, and picks the loss rule: the Mudaraba default, where the capital provider bears financial loss and the farmer loses only labour, or Musharaka, where both partners share loss in proportion to capital.

The investor logs in to a read-only portal that shows their principal, their live profit share and a PDF statement. The rules in the code are simple and strict: principal is never counted as profit, and a payout cannot exceed the profit accrued. This follows the structure of those contracts, but it has not been certified by a Sharia board, so run your actual contract terms past your own advisor.

## Fisheries and the wider network

Pond farmers get their own module: ponds, species, water-quality readings such as pH and dissolved oxygen, activity logs, biomass estimates, feed conversion and the financials of a pond. A para-vet or feed dealer can use a multi-farm dashboard to look after the farms they serve, and a referral code on sign-up credits the provider a Tk 50 commission.

## Built for a phone, in Bangla

The interface is Bangla-first, with an English toggle. Tap targets are large, and there are four colour themes, including a high-contrast one for sunlight. A farm manager does not get the full books. They get a short screen of picture buttons for the day: fed, vaccinated, weighed, milked, eggs collected.

## What it does not do

Khamar is not crop-farming software, it does not read IoT sensors, and it is not a marketplace that finds you buyers. It needs an internet connection to save records. It can be added to a phone home screen, but entries made without signal are not queued for later. Plan prices are not quoted on this page.

## Try it
